Wimmer Werk Motorsport starts in GT4 Winter Series

The Austrian team Wimmer Werk Motorsport made its debut in GT4 racing in 2023. After fielding two Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport cars in the ADAC GT4 Germany, the team is expanding for the 2024 season. In addition to the GT4 European Series, the team will compete in the GT4 Winter Series for the first time.

Ivan Ekelchik and Egor Khichin have already been confirmed by the team from the Alpine state as drivers for the line-up in the GT4 Winter Series. Both drivers will compete in the GEDLICH Racing series to gain further experience and race kilometres in order to continue their training as professional racing drivers.

Wimmer Werk Motorsport is also launching a new programme for the 2024 season to train young up-and-coming drivers. This will be led by Nicolaj Møller Madsen. The Dane, who won the ADAC GT4 Germany and GT4 European Series championships, is regarded as one of the world’s best GT4 drivers.

In the driver programme, the young talents learn how to deal with the media and the vehicle, complete a fitness camp and a sports programme. The youngsters also learn how to sell themselves better and gain insights into working with data.
